Custom printed circuit board (PCB) safe shutdown and power circuitry made specifically for Raspberry Pi or any other sensitive electronics operating in an automotive environment. I started this project because I got tired of lugging around a laptop every time I wanted to make a quick fueling change to my VE table in TunerStudio. This lead me down the path of creating a compact solution utilizing a Raspberry Pi 4, touchscreen, and a USB cable to connect my MegaSquirt ECU. However, I soon realized that automotive electrical systems are insanely dangerous for sensitive electronics like memory inside of computers. Thus, the Safe Shutdown circuitry was born.
